Editorial Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
MAPIANCE publishes practical content to help readers understand a problem, decide what applies to their situation, and take the next useful step. We prioritize usefulness, accuracy, clarity, and transparent sourcing over publishing volume.
How content is selected
We choose topics when there is a clear reader question or task that MAPIANCE can answer usefully. We avoid creating near-duplicate pages simply to target small keyword variations. Each article is assigned a specific intent and is checked against existing MAPIANCE content before publication.
Research and sources
Writers and editors use appropriate primary or authoritative sources when factual claims need verification, including official documentation, manufacturers, standards bodies, recognized institutions, and other reliable references. Relevant sources may be listed on the article so readers can verify important claims for themselves.
Article formats
MAPIANCE uses several formats for different reader needs. How-To guides focus on completing a task. Explainers focus on understanding causes, meaning, or mechanisms. Lists organize useful reasons, signs, checks, or options. Answer articles give a direct response to a focused question. We do not add images merely to fill a template; visuals are used when they materially help the reader.
Review before publication
Content that is ready to publish passes an editorial quality gate covering intent, duplication, completeness, factual support where needed, internal links, metadata, category/topic assignment, and publication status. Content that does not pass remains in draft or review rather than entering the publishing queue.
Advertising and affiliate independence
Advertising and affiliate relationships are monetization layers, not editorial instructions. Normal links to manufacturers, official documentation, and references may be included without a commercial relationship when they help readers verify or complete a task. Affiliate opportunities are managed separately, require manual activation by an administrator, and do not change the article's editorial conclusion.
Updates and corrections
Articles may be reviewed and updated as products, guidance, or facts change. When we find a meaningful error, we correct it rather than preserving inaccurate wording. Publication, modification, and verification dates are stored separately so an article is not presented as newly published merely because it was reviewed.
Automation and editorial control
MAPIANCE may use software and AI-assisted workflows for research organization, structured drafting, metadata, and publishing operations. Automation does not remove the requirement that an article meet the same quality standards before it can enter the approved publishing queue.
